Paper Collages
Cutout paper, books; graphite, colored pencil
1990–1998
“What you don’t need is just as important as what you do need.”
Inspired by Georges Braque, Joseph Cornell, and Max Ernst, I composed a series of small paper collages. Each tableau is staged as a seamless narrative, where every element plays a role. Place, characters, props, time of day, color palette, and lighting are interwoven into a single dramatic moment.
